(SUBMISSION GUIDELINES)

The Volta Blog accepts unsolicited critical work about poetry: book reviews, interviews, essays, poetics, conversations, etc. You can email your submissions (and your questions) to thevoltaeditors@gmail.com

Please refer to our submission guidelines below:

Reviews:

We are always accepting reviews. Each review (minimum of 500 words) must be written about a poetry book/chapbook that has been released by a small press within the last five years. We don’t review books from major publishers or self-published work. We only review poetry. We do not accept negative reviews. Additionally, if you would like to write a review, but don’t have a book to write about, email us and we may be able to send you a review copy.

Interviews:

If you have conducted an interview, or have a proposal for an interview, please email us with your idea/finished piece. Interviews should be conducted with/by a poet, or with/by someone in the small press poetry community.

Essays, etc:

We have few guidelines for these. Just make sure it has something to do with poetry. Send us a proposal/example.
